Phil Orscheln
Phillip A. Orscheln, Of Counsel, Sildon Law Group - The Center for Business Strategies, specializes in individual, corporate, and partnership tax, along with general corporate work, mergers and acquisitions, and financial and estate planning. His personal experience with large family businesses provides him with unique insights into the intricacies of business structures and tax issues. This experience enables him to develop and implement effective tax and financial strategies for his clients' closely-held corporations, partnerships, individuals, estates and trusts.

Mr. Orscheln is involved in a number of charitable and political activities in addition to his professional commitments. Besides being involved with Chameleon Theatre Company, he gives generously of his time to causes such as The American Royal, Avila Board of Trustees, Central City School Fund, K.C. Friends of Alvin Ailey, Rockhurst High School, St. Joseph Foundation Board of Trustees, St. Teresa's Academy and St. Thomas More Parish.

Orscheln received his BBA degree in Finance from the University of Notre Dame and the first ever joint JD/MBA degree from Creighton University. After graduating from Creighton, he worked for Touche Ross & Co. for three years and has been with Sildon Law Group, P.C. since 1984. He has authored various articles on corporate taxation and is the author of Corporate Tax Under the 1986 Tax Act and co-author of The Basics of a Viatical Purchase of Individual Life Insurance.
